MNRE Adds 5,255 MW to ALMM List-I, Total Enlisted Solar Module Capacity Reaches 121,722 MW

Nov 27, 2025

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has updated its Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) for November 2025, adding 5,255 MW of new solar module capacity to List-I. With this revision, the total ALMM-listed module capacity has climbed to 121,722 MW.

The latest update brings two new manufacturers into the list — Sirius Solar Energy Systems (67 MW) and Jeem Energy (172 MW).

Several existing players have also expanded their capacities.

• Avaada Electro added 2,798 MW from its Nagpur plant, raising its total ALMM-listed capacity to 8,220 MW across Nagpur and Dadri units.
• FS Green Energies (Future Solar) increased its capacity by 2,105 MW, reaching 5,001 MW.
• Navitas Solar added 42 MW, taking its total to 1,142 MW.
• Sova Solar added 71 MW, bringing its capacity to 1,368 MW.

MNRE’s previous update on October 13, 2025, had added 6,922 MW of capacity. That round included new additions such as Solitech Green Energy, Surana Solar, and Suryanand Solar Cluster Association, alongside major expansions by Gautam Solar, Bluebird Solar, Goldi Solar, Rayzon Solar, Jakson Engineers, and Emmvee Energy.

Introduced in 2021, the ALMM framework ensures quality compliance for manufacturers supplying modules to government-backed projects. The list now extends beyond modules — solar cells will be included under ALMM from June 1, 2026. MNRE’s ALMM List-II for solar PV cells currently stands at 18,481 MW, following Websol Energy Systems’ recent addition of 602 MW of Mono PERC bifacial cell capacity.

MNRE has also proposed ALMM List-III for solar wafers, expected to take effect from June 1, 2028, subject to at least 15 GW of operational domestic wafer manufacturing capacity supported by equivalent ingot production.
