MOIL Issues Tender for 7 MW Solar Project in Maharashtra

Nov 06, 2025

MOIL Limited has invited bids for the development of a 7 MW AC solar photovoltaic project at its Parsoda Mine Site in Maharashtra, as part of its ongoing effort to enhance clean energy adoption across its mining operations.

The tender encompasses the design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of the solar plant, along with five years of comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M). The estimated project cost is Rs 32.91 crore, and the selected developer will have five months to complete the installation.

Bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs 50 lakh. The deadline for bid submission is December 8, 2025, while the techno-commercial bid opening is scheduled for December 10, 2025.

Eligible participants must demonstrate prior experience in executing grid-connected ground-mounted solar PV projects of at least 3 MW capacity within the last seven years. Additionally, bidders should have undertaken O&M services for a minimum of 2 MW capacity for at least two years and maintain an average annual turnover of 30% of the estimated project value over the past three years.

All PV modules, inverters, and balance-of-system components must be certified by NABL-accredited testing centers as per IEC/IS standards.

This initiative aligns with MOIL’s broader sustainability strategy to integrate renewable energy into its operations and reduce its carbon footprint across India’s mining sector.
