MPUVNL Finalises 4.01 GW Solar Capacity Under PM-KUSUM-C, Dilip Buildcon Emerges as Top Awardee

Dec 24, 2025

Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (MPUVNL) has awarded 4.01 GW of solar power capacity to 82 developers under the PM-KUSUM Component-C programme, out of the 4.3 GW capacity tendered, marking one of the state’s largest distributed solar allocations to date.

Leading the awardees, Dilip Buildcon secured the highest allocation of around 1,363.54 MW, quoting tariffs in the range of Rs2.74–Rs2.79 per kWh. Other major winners include Sunbridge Solar Power, which was awarded 471.29 MW at tariffs between Rs2.75 and Rs2.85 per kWh, and Landsmill Industries, which secured 422.02 MW at Rs2.70–Rs2.75 per kWh. Purshotam Profiles and Ceigall India were awarded 173.15 MW and 130 MW, respectively, while the remaining 1,459.25 MW was distributed among several developers at tariffs ranging from Rs2.68 to Rs2.78 per kWh.

The auction also witnessed a lowest discovered tariff of Rs2.40 per kWh, quoted by Neutron Sunray for a 5 MW project, highlighting the continued cost competitiveness of utility-scale solar under the PM-KUSUM framework.

Originally launched in February 2025 for 1.5 GW, the tender was subsequently expanded to 4.3 GW in response to rising demand for distributed solar capacity across Madhya Pradesh. Power generated from these projects will be supplied to MP Power Management Company under long-term power purchase agreements.

In a statement, Ceigall India Ltd. detailed the scope of its awarded capacity, noting that the project involves the design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and operation of grid-connected solar power plants across two districts in the state. The contract carries an estimated EPC value of around Rs550 crore, inclusive of GST, with an 18-month execution timeline followed by 25 years of operation supported by a long-term PPA from the scheduled commercial operation date.

Commenting on the award, Ramneek Sehgal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ceigall India Ltd., described the letter of award as a key milestone in the company’s renewable energy journey. He said the PM-KUSUM-C programme plays a crucial role in advancing clean energy adoption while strengthening India’s agricultural ecosystem, adding that the company remains committed to delivering the project with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.

The latest allocation reinforces Madhya Pradesh’s position as a leading state in distributed solar deployment and underlines the growing momentum of the PM-KUSUM scheme in supporting both renewable energy expansion and rural power infrastructure.
