Jan 16, 2026
The Northern Railway, Ambala Division, has invited bids for the installation of a 1 MW (1,000 kW) on-grid solar power project across multiple locations in Haryana.
The bid submission deadline is January 29, 2026. The project has an estimated cost of Rs58.8 million, and bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs444,100.
The scope of work includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of grid-connected solar systems without battery storage. The installations will be carried out at station buildings, service buildings, and level-crossing gates at various locations under the Ambala Division.
In addition to solar modules, the contract covers mounting structures, DC and AC cabling, junction boxes, interfacing panels, monitoring systems, and all associated accessories required for project completion.
To qualify, bidders must have prior experience in executing solar or solar-hybrid projects of at least 50 kWp capacity. Over the past seven years, bidders should have completed either three similar works each valued at a minimum of 30% of the tender value, two works each valued at 40%, or one work valued at 60% of the advertised value.
Financial eligibility criteria require bidders to demonstrate a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or V, whichever is lower, where V is the tender value of Rs58.8 million and N is the prescribed completion period, based on audited financial statements for the last three financial years.
The contract includes a comprehensive annual maintenance contract (CAMC) for three years, with a total contract duration of 69 months, encompassing both installation and maintenance periods. Work must commence within 15 days of the issuance of the work order.
Only solar modules listed in the latest Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) are permitted for use in the project.
