NREDCAP Invites Bids to Empanel Vendors for Rooftop Solar Projects in Andhra Pradesh
Apr 20, 2026
The agency has launched an empanelment process for developers to install rooftop solar systems on government buildings, covering capacities from small residential-scale to large institutional setups.
New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh has issued an expression of interest (EoI) to empanel vendors for setting up rooftop solar projects ranging from 1 kW to 500 kW across government buildings in Andhra Pradesh. The deadline for bid submission is April 22, 2026, with bids scheduled to be opened on April 23.
Interested bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 50,000 along with an EoI processing fee of Rs 29,500. The scope of work includes end-to-end execution—covering design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the rooftop solar systems, along with operation and maintenance for a period of five years.
The empanelment covers multiple project categories, including systems of 1 kW, 2 kW, 3 kW, 4 kW, 5 kW, 6–10 kW, 11–100 kW, and 101–500 kW capacities, enabling participation across a wide range of project sizes.
To ensure quality and compliance, all projects must use solar modules and cells listed under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Eligible bidders may include solar module manufacturers and must either have executed projects with NREDCAP in the past three years or be registered vendors with the state’s distribution companies under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
Project timelines vary by size, with installations of 1–10 kW to be completed within 45 days, 11–100 kW within 60 days, and 101–500 kW within 90 days. Additionally, solar modules must carry a minimum 25-year warranty, ensuring at least 90% performance after 10 years and 80?ter 25 years. Grid-tied inverters are required to have a minimum warranty of five years.
