NTPC Green Energy Floats Tender for 900 MW ISTS-Connected Solar Projects in Bhuj, Gujarat

NTPC Green Energy has issued a tender inviting bids for land and transmission infrastructure to develop up to 900 MW of ISTS-connected solar projects in Bhuj, Gujarat. The bid submission deadline is June 9, 2025, with a bidding document fee of Rs22,500. Bid security requirements vary based on capacity: Rs2 crore for 300 MW, Rs5 crore for 600 MW, and Rs10 crore for 900 MW.

Selected developers must secure land at 5 acres/MW for nearly 30 years, construct boundary fencing, and provide essential transmission connectivity infrastructure. This includes designing and executing an extra-high-voltage transmission line, securing right-of-way, and maintaining the infrastructure for three years post-commissioning.

Eligibility criteria include prior experience in renewable or heavy industrial projects (minimum Rs17.9 crore investment), execution of at least one substation (33 kV and above), and a minimum annual turnover benchmarked to capacity bid. All referenced projects must have been operational for 6–12 months depending on sector type.
