NTPC Green Energy Floats Tender for Supply of 2.38 MW Solar Modules

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has issued a tender for the procurement of solar photovoltaic modules with a total capacity of 2.38 MW for projects located in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
As per the tender conditions, bids must be submitted by January 27, 2026, with bid opening scheduled for the same day. The procurement covers the supply of 7,000 crystalline silicon solar PV modules, each rated at 340 Wp. The scope of work is limited strictly to module supply and does not include installation or commissioning.
The identified project sites include Bilhaur in Uttar Pradesh, along with Jaisalmer, Sri Ganganagar, and Bikaner in Rajasthan. NGEL has specified that the modules must be delivered within 120 days from the issuance of the purchase order.
Bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit ranging between Rs 71,428 and Rs 142,858, with the total indicative EMD amounting to Rs 500,000.
Eligibility has been restricted to domestic solar module manufacturers producing modules with a minimum rating of 250 Wp and holding a valid Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification. To qualify as Class I suppliers, bidders must meet a minimum local content requirement of 50 percent.
Financial eligibility criteria include a minimum average annual turnover of Rs 410 lakh over the last three financial years. Additionally, the bidder’s net worth as of the end of the previous financial year must be at least equal to 100 percent of its paid-up share capital.
The tender allows bidders to leverage the financial strength of subsidiaries, holding companies, or fellow subsidiaries. In such cases, the combined net worth of the bidder and supporting entities must not be less than 100 percent of their combined paid-up share capital. The calculation of combined net worth must follow the prescribed formula outlined in the tender documents.
