NTPC Green Energy Partners with Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. (UPRVUNL) to Form JV for Renewable Energy Projects

In a strategic move to enhance renewable energy capacity, NTPC Green Energy Ltd. (NGEL) and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. (UPRVUNL) have formed a joint venture, NTPC UP Green Energy Ltd., dedicated to developing, operating, and maintaining renewable energy parks and projects in Uttar Pradesh.

The joint venture, incorporated on January 1, 2025, marks a 51:49 equity partnership, with NGEL holding a 51% stake and UPRVUNL holding 49%. The certificate of incorporation was issued by the Registrar of Companies on January 4, 2025. NGEL subscribed to 51,000 equity shares of the venture at a face value of Rs 10 each.

This collaboration aligns with NTPC’s ongoing efforts to expand its renewable energy footprint across India.
