NTPC Renewable Energy Floats Tender for 1,000 MW Solar Module Supply in Uttar Pradesh

Apr 13, 2026

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has issued a tender for the supply of solar PV modules for 1,000 MW projects to be developed in Lalitpur and Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh. The bidding process is scheduled to close on April 27, 2026.

The tender covers the manufacturing, supply, packaging, and transportation of crystalline bifacial solar PV modules with a minimum capacity of 570 Wp. These modules must fall under the open category and be listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).

Bidders are required to submit a bid security of Rs10 crore for individual packages—either Package 1, Package 2 (439.35 MWp), or Package 3 (585.8 MWp). For participation in multiple packages, the bid security increases to Rs20 crore. Techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same day as submission, shortly after the deadline.

To qualify, bidders must demonstrate prior experience in manufacturing and supplying solar PV modules or cells with a cumulative capacity of at least 200 MWp within any 12-month period over the past five years. This must include at least one order of 50 MWp or more. Additionally, manufacturers should have an annual production capacity of at least 1.67 times the quoted capacity.

As an alternative eligibility route, bidders can qualify by having supplied modules or cells equivalent to at least 2.14 times the quoted capacity within a similar timeframe, again including a minimum single order of 50 MWp.

Financially, the average annual turnover of bidders over the last three financial years must meet a minimum threshold calculated as the quoted capacity (in MWp) multiplied by Rs0.209 crore, ensuring adequate financial strength to execute the project.
