NTPC Renewable Energy Invites Bids for BoS Package of 200 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan
Apr 06, 2026
NTPC Renewable Energy has released a tender for the Balance of System (BoS) package for a 200 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic project to be developed in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The bidding process is open until May 5, 2026.
The scope of the contract covers a wide range of activities, including design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar plant. However, the supply of solar PV modules is excluded from this package. In addition, the selected bidder will be responsible for providing operation and maintenance services for a period of three years, along with necessary consumables and spare parts.
Participants in the tender must submit a bid security of INR 5 crore. The techno-commercial bids are scheduled to be opened on the same day as the submission deadline. The project scope also includes all associated civil and electrical works required for grid connectivity, such as transformers, protection systems, cabling, and metering infrastructure up to the 33 kV pooling substation.
To qualify, bidders must demonstrate prior experience in executing solar BoS projects with a cumulative capacity of at least 40 MWp, including at least one project of 10 MWp or more that has been operational for a minimum of six months. Alternatively, companies with experience in large-scale industrial projects worth at least INR 66 crore in sectors like power, steel, oil and gas, or infrastructure may also be eligible, subject to operational track record requirements.
Additional technical criteria include prior execution of a substation project of 33 kV or higher voltage level. Financially, bidders must have an average annual turnover of at least INR 66 crore over the past three financial years. This tender reflects NTPC Renewable Energy’s continued push to expand its solar capacity and strengthen renewable energy infrastructure in the country.
