NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited Floats Tender for 2.115 MW Rooftop Solar Installations at Three AIIMS Campuses

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN) has invited bids for setting up 2.115 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems across three campuses of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) located in Deoghar (Jharkhand), Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh), and Patna (Bihar).

The total planned capacity will be distributed as 897 kW at AIIMS Deoghar, 858 kW at AIIMS Gorakhpur, and 360 kW at AIIMS Patna. The selected contractor will be responsible for the complete project lifecycle, including design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning, along with comprehensive operation and maintenance for a period of 10 years. The scope also includes securing all statutory approvals, permits, and net metering clearances.

The deadline for submission of bids is March 17, 2026, with bid opening scheduled for the following day. Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs 1 million, while the successful bidder will be required to submit a performance bank guarantee equivalent to 10% of the contract value. The projects are to be completed within 240 days from the date of award.

Eligibility is restricted to Class I and Class II local suppliers. To qualify as a Class I supplier, bidders must ensure a minimum local content of 50%, while Class II suppliers must demonstrate at least 20% local content. Additionally, solar modules must be sourced from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-I, and the solar cells must comply with ALMM List-II requirements as prescribed by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
