Accreditation certifies laboratory’s technical competence in testing and calibration at MIDC Mahape facility

Organic Recycling Systems Ltd. (ORSL) has secured accreditation for its Research and Innovation Centre (RIC) at MIDC Mahape, Navi Mumbai, under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). The accreditation certifies the laboratory’s technical competence in testing and calibration.

According to the company, the accreditation enables ORSL to provide globally accepted, independent testing and validation services. The move expands the commercial scope of its R&D infrastructure by allowing it to undertake third-party testing and certification activities.

Dr. Manju Tanwar, Chief Scientist and Head – Research and Development at ORSL, stated that the accreditation validates the laboratory’s scientific processes and technical competence. She added that the RIC will expand its role from internal research and development to advanced testing, technology validation, and collaborative research for the industry.

With NABL accreditation, the RIC is positioned to undertake technology validation and performance benchmarking, as well as sponsored research, pilot trials, and collaborative R&D with academic institutions and industry partners. The company stated that NABL-accredited laboratories support data reliability and regulatory compliance for projects in waste management, compressed biogas, and renewable energy.
