Oswal Energies and Deendayal Port Authority Sign MoU to Develop Green Hydrogen, Methanol, Ammonia, and Desalination Projects
Nov 05, 2025
Oswal Energies has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla-Gandhidham, to jointly develop an integrated green energy and desalination complex. The collaboration aims to establish facilities for green hydrogen production, methanol and ammonia conversion, and a 100 million liters per day (MLD) desalination plant, reinforcing India’s National Green Energy initiative.
The partnership marks a significant step toward advancing India’s clean energy transition. Under the agreement, Oswal Energies will spearhead the design, development, and implementation of state-of-the-art facilities, leveraging both domestic and international technology collaborations. The company’s role includes setting up green hydrogen generation units, methanol and ammonia synthesis plants, and a high-capacity desalination system to support industrial and port operations while promoting sustainability.
Commenting on the collaboration, Ratan Bokadia, Managing Director of Oswal Energies, stated, “This MoU marks a transformative milestone in our journey toward sustainable innovation. Our partnership with the Deendayal Port Authority underscores our dedication to advancing India’s clean energy mission through technology-driven solutions and strategic alliances. We are committed to contributing to the nation’s pursuit of energy self-reliance and a sustainable future.”
The agreement was formally signed during India Maritime Week 2025 between Dixit Bokadia, Director at Oswal Energies, and M. Suresh, Chief Strategic Officer at DPA.
Through this collaboration, Oswal Energies aims to position itself as a leading player in green hydrogen and sustainable energy infrastructure, aligning closely with India’s net-zero emissions vision and its broader efforts to build a resilient, low-carbon economy.
