Oyster Renewable Energy Appoints Sridhar Ganesan as Chief Operating Officer

Oyster Renewable Energy Holding Pvt. Ltd., an entity of JSL Global Commodities, has appointed Sridhar Ganesan as its Chief Operating Officer (COO), strengthening its leadership team as it scales operations in the clean energy space.
Ganesan brings with him over 35 years of experience in the power sector, spanning engineering, operations, and business leadership across some of India’s and the world’s leading energy organisations. His appointment is expected to reinforce operational excellence and execution capabilities across Oyster Renewable Energy’s portfolio.
Extensive Experience Across Power Generation
Before joining Oyster Renewable Energy, Ganesan spent nearly a decade with Adani Power, where he held several senior leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Chief Business Officer at Adani Power Udupi, playing a key role in improving operational performance, enhancing plant reliability, and delivering strong business results at the company’s coastal power facility.
Earlier in his career, Ganesan dedicated 21 years to Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), where he built deep technical expertise in power plant installation and commissioning, with a particular focus on steam turbines and auxiliary systems. He concluded his tenure at BHEL as Construction Manager for a 2×500 MW thermal power project, earning recognition for his hands-on engineering approach and project execution capabilities.

A Mechanical Engineer by training, Ganesan is widely regarded for his ability to bridge technical depth with operational and commercial outcomes. His appointment aligns with Oyster Renewable Energy’s focus on building a strong leadership foundation to support growth, efficiency, and long-term value creation in the evolving energy landscape.
