Parag Sharma Appointed CEO of Zelestra India

Zelestra India has announced the appointment of Parag Sharma — a prominent leader in India’s renewable energy sector and founder of O2 Power — as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Sharma, who previously spearheaded O2 Power backed by global investors EQT and Temasek, brings more than 25 years of expertise in the clean energy and infrastructure space. His leadership is expected to drive Zelestra India’s aggressive growth strategy as the company aims to expand its portfolio of renewable energy assets across the country.

Before founding O2 Power, Sharma served in senior leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer at ReNew Power, where he played a key role in scaling renewable operations nationwide.

A strong academic background supports his industry experience: Sharma holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, an LLB from the University of Delhi, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University.

Zelestra India said Sharma’s appointment marks a significant step in strengthening the company’s commitment to accelerating India’s energy transition.
