Potaliya Petrochemicals and Kishan Infrastructure Secure 17.77 MW SECI Rooftop Solar Project
Mar 30, 2026
Potaliya Petrochemicals and Kishan Infrastructure Industries have emerged as winners in the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) auction for 17.77 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects. These installations will be deployed across government buildings in Puducherry under Tranche-V.
Potaliya Petrochemicals secured the larger share of 15 MW, while Kishan Infrastructure Industries was awarded 2.768 MW. Both bids were finalised at a tariff of Rs 4.11 per kWh, reflecting competitive pricing in the rooftop solar segment.
The tender, initially issued in September last year, underwent revision with the total project capacity increased from 13.04 MW to 17.77 MW. The scope of work includes complete project execution—covering design, engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning—along with long-term operations and maintenance for the duration of the power purchase agreement (PPA).
Developers are responsible for securing all necessary approvals, including net metering, grid connectivity, permits, and insurance. Additionally, they will manage power transmission up to the interconnection point, where energy accounting will take place, and ensure ongoing maintenance of the transmission infrastructure.
The project also sets defined performance benchmarks. Developers must maintain a capacity utilisation factor (CUF) within a specified range around the declared value, with a minimum annual CUF requirement of 15% over the project lifecycle.
Only solar modules listed under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) will be permitted for use, ensuring quality and compliance with government standards. This project is expected to further strengthen rooftop solar adoption in public infrastructure while supporting India’s broader clean energy goals.
