Premier Energies Expands Renewable Portfolio with Strategic Acquisitions of KSolare and Transcon
Oct 26, 2025
Strengthening India’s clean energy value chain, Premier Energies has acquired Pune-based inverter manufacturer KSolare and Hyderabad-based transformer producer Transcon, marking its strategic entry into the residential solar and power distribution segments.
Premier Energies Ltd., one of India’s leading renewable energy companies, has announced two major acquisitions aimed at reinforcing its presence across the clean energy value chain.
Premier Energies Deepens Vertical Integration Across the Clean Energy Spectrum
In partnership with Syrma SGS Technology Ltd, Premier Energies has completed the acquisition of 100% ownership in KSolare Energy Pvt. Ltd., a Pune-based solar inverter manufacturer, for INR 170 crore. Under the agreement, Premier Energies will hold a 51% controlling stake, while Syrma SGS will own 49%.
KSolare, a key player in India’s inverter manufacturing ecosystem, currently produces over 500,000 inverters annually for residential on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid systems, reporting INR 342 crore in revenue for FY2025. The partnership plans to establish a brownfield expansion in Pune to double KSolare’s annual production capacity to 1 million units, targeting India’s rapidly growing rooftop solar market and supporting national initiatives such as the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
“This collaboration positions KSolare to emerge as a global manufacturing powerhouse in solar and EV power electronics, while continuing our focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction,” said Sunil Sinnarkar, Managing Director, KSolare Energy Pvt. Ltd.
“The acquisition marks a pivotal step toward strengthening India’s domestic manufacturing ecosystem and accelerating our clean energy goals,” added Chiranjeev Saluja, Managing Director and CEO, Premier Energies. “Together with Syrma SGS, we aim to deliver high-quality, Indian-made inverters to every rooftop under the PM Surya Ghar initiative.”
Jasbir Gujral, Managing Director, Syrma SGS, commented, “This collaboration underlines Syrma SGS’s commitment to India’s clean energy transformation. By combining our high-reliability manufacturing capabilities with Premier’s leadership in solar solutions, we aim to develop advanced, affordable inverter technologies for India’s expanding residential market.”
Premier Energies Acquires Majority Stake in Transformer Manufacturer Transcon
In a parallel move, Premier Energies has signed definitive agreements to acquire a 51% ownership stake in Hyderabad-based Transcon Ind Ltd. for INR 500.3 crore, further strengthening its foothold in the power distribution and equipment manufacturing segment.
Established in 2003, Transcon is an ISO-certified manufacturer of energy-efficient transformers, including solar inverter, distribution, and specialty transformers. The company, promoted by Amar Pal Gampa and Nagaraju Bandaru, reported INR 263.5 crore in revenue for FY2025 and currently operates with a 2.5 GVA per annum manufacturing capacity.
Transcon is now expanding its capacity to 4.25 GVA by January 2026 through an investment of INR 40 crore. Its subsidiary, Neotrafo Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., is concurrently developing a 10 GVA MV, HV, and EHV transformer facility in Hyderabad, with a capital outlay of INR 181 crore, expected to become operational by June 2026.
“This investment marks Premier Energies’ strategic entry into the fast-growing transformer sector, driven by rising renewable capacity additions and the ongoing electrification of India’s economy,” said Chiranjeev Saluja, Managing Director and CEO, Premier Energies. “It enables us to move further downstream, offering integrated, bundled solutions to power producers, DISCOMs, and industrial customers while progressively expanding into higher-value MV, HV, and EHV segments.”
A Comprehensive Clean Energy Solutions Provider
With these acquisitions, Premier Energies has significantly broadened its renewable energy footprint, extending from solar generation to power evacuation and conversion technologies. The company is now positioned as a fully integrated clean energy solutions provider, enabling India’s transition toward a sustainable and self-reliant power ecosystem.
These strategic investments reaffirm Premier Energies’ commitment to strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities, fostering technological innovation, and supporting India’s national goal of achieving net-zero emissions and energy independence.
