PVV Infra to Invest INR 650 Crore in 1 GW TOPCon Solar Cell Facility in Andhra Pradesh
Nov 18, 2025
Infrastructure firm PVV Infra has announced its entry into the solar cell manufacturing segment with plans to establish a 1 GW N-type TOPCon solar cell plant in Andhra Pradesh. The project, requiring an investment of around INR 650 crore, marks a major step in the company’s renewable energy expansion strategy.
The company recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) to move forward with the project. According to the regulatory filing, the proposed facility will be set up on roughly 30 acres of land in Visakhapatnam.
PVV Infra stated that it will contribute its strengths in investment planning, technology, design, and equipment procurement to build the facility and support Andhra Pradesh’s growing solar manufacturing ecosystem.
This manufacturing foray follows the company’s increasing focus on renewable energy. In September 2025, PVV Infra invested INR 107.70 crore in a 28 MW (AC) solar power project in Maharashtra, backed by a long-term PPA with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (MSEDCL), ensuring stable and predictable revenues.
In October 2025, the company’s subsidiaries further secured two major solar projects in Uttar Pradesh worth INR 799 crore combined.
• PVV EVTech signed a 25-year PPA with UPNEDA for a 100 MW project in Baghpat and Moradabad, to be developed with Nacof Oorja at a project cost of INR 384 crore, expected to generate INR 53 crore annually.
• PVV Housing bagged an INR 415 crore EPC contract for a 109 MW project in the same region, also in partnership with Nacof Oorja.
Alongside these developments, the Board has endorsed further expansion of PVV Infra’s renewable energy portfolio through new SPVs.
The company noted that its broader renewable strategy focuses on:
• reducing dependency on fossil fuels,
• supporting India’s net-zero goals,
• building sustainable, long-term revenue-generating assets, and
• leveraging its infrastructure expertise to deliver dependable, scalable solar energy solutions.
