Nov 24, 2025

ACME Solar Holdings, ReNew Power, Bhalki Solar Power (Rays Power Infra), Purvah Green Power, Jindal Green and Ayana Renewable Power have emerged as the successful bidders in the Railway Energy Management Company’s (REMC) auction for 1,000 MW of round-the-clock (RTC) renewable energy. The auction resulted in a uniform tariff of Rs 4.35/kWh for all selected developers.

Capacity Won by Each Developer

• ReNew Power – 200 MW

• Bhalki Solar Power (Rays Power Infra) – 200 MW

• Purvah Green Power – 180 MW

• Jindal Green – 150 MW

• Ayana Renewable Power – 140 MW

• ACME Solar – 130 MW

Auction & Project Setup Details

• The tender was floated in July 2025.

• Developers can set up their renewable energy assets — including solar, wind and storage — anywhere in India, either at one site or across multiple locations.

• Indian Railways will be the end user, signing PPAs directly with the winning bidders.

Tariff & Requirements

• The discovered tariff of Rs 4.35/kWh highlights the growing competitiveness of renewable energy with storage for delivering firm, high-CUF power.

• Winning developers must supply renewable power supported by dispatchable sources and/or Energy Storage Systems (ESS).

• Projects must ensure:

o 75% minimum annual availability for the first three years

o 85% annual availability from the fourth year onwards

Developer Commitments

• ACME Solar stated that it plans to commission its awarded project within 30 months of signing the PPA, aided by the availability of land and transmission connectivity within its portfolio.
