Salasar Techno Engineering Wins Rs 232-Crore UPPTCL High-Voltage Transmission Contract
Dec 20, 2025
Salasar Techno Engineering Limited has clinched a Rs232 crore turnkey transmission line contract from Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited (UPPTCL), reinforcing its position in India’s power transmission and infrastructure landscape. The project is backed by funding from Germany’s state-owned development bank, Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW).
Granted in November 2025, the assignment covers the complete scope of engineering, detailed design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 400 kV DC Twin Moose transmission line connecting Banda and Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh. The line will extend over an estimated distance of 130 kilometres.
Upon completion, the project is expected to significantly improve grid reliability and stability in the region, curb transmission losses, and cater to the state’s growing power requirements arising from rapid industrialisation and urban development.
Commenting on the development, Shashank Agarwal, Managing Director of Salasar Techno Engineering Limited, said the UPPTCL contract highlights the company’s ability to successfully execute large-scale, high-voltage transmission projects of strategic importance. He noted that Salasar’s integrated EPC capabilities, robust execution processes, and strong emphasis on safety, quality, and timely delivery continue to meet the evolving needs of India’s transmission and distribution sector.
Agarwal further reaffirmed the company’s commitment to strengthening India’s power infrastructure through efficient, innovative, and sustainable solutions.
The project adds to Salasar Techno Engineering’s growing portfolio of high-voltage transmission assets and supports the development of a more resilient and efficient power network aligned with India’s long-term energy and economic goals.
