SECI and PTC India Enter Strategic Partnership to Advance Renewable Integration, Storage, and Power Market Solutions
Jan 21, 2026
The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and PTC India have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create a collaborative framework aimed at strengthening India’s renewable energy ecosystem. The partnership will focus on renewable energy integration, power market operations, battery energy storage systems (BESS), structured power products, and the joint development of large-scale renewable and storage projects.
According to SECI, the collaboration is intended to facilitate smoother grid integration of renewable generation and storage assets, expand market-based power solutions, and enhance overall system flexibility to support India’s clean energy transition.
The MoU was exchanged by Akash Tripathi, IAS, Managing Director of SECI, and Dr. Manoj Kumar Jhawar, Chairman and Managing Director of PTC India, in the presence of senior leadership from both organisations. The agreement was formally signed by Prashant Soni, Deputy General Manager (Project Management) at SECI, and Bikram Singh, Executive Director (Marketing) at PTC India.
As part of the partnership, SECI and PTC India will jointly explore innovative power market mechanisms and storage-backed solutions designed to support grid stability while accelerating the rollout of utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects. The initiative aligns with India’s long-term clean energy objectives and broader energy transition goals.
