SECI Partners with IPGCL and PPCL to Advance Renewable and Clean Energy Projects
Dec 16, 2025
The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indraprastha Power Generation Company (IPGCL) and Pragati Power Corporation (PPCL) to enhance cooperation in the development of renewable and emerging clean energy projects across India.
The agreement establishes a strategic framework for jointly exploring and implementing initiatives in solar power, energy storage solutions, and other advanced clean energy technologies. Through this collaboration, the three organisations aim to strengthen technical coordination and accelerate the deployment of sustainable energy infrastructure.
As part of the MoU, SECI, IPGCL, and PPCL will work together on project conceptualisation, feasibility studies, technical assistance, and knowledge sharing, while also identifying viable opportunities for renewable energy development.
The partnership is expected to support India’s transition toward a reliable and sustainable energy system, while enabling IPGCL and PPCL to diversify their energy portfolios. At the same time, the collaboration reinforces SECI’s role as the country’s nodal agency for renewable energy development.
By combining their technical and operational capabilities, the three entities aim to promote innovation and contribute meaningfully to India’s long-term renewable energy expansion and decarbonisation objectives.
