SJVN Appoints Shri Parthajit De as Chief Financial Officer

SJVN Limited has appointed Parthajit De as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with effect from April 10, 2026. He currently serves as Director (Finance) at the company, a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Power.

Before joining SJVN in a leadership role, De held key positions at NHPC Limited, where he managed Corporate Accounts & Policy, Corporate Tax Cell, and Employment Benefit Trusts. He also served as a nominee director on the board of Loktak Downstream Hydroelectric Corporation, a subsidiary of NHPC.

A Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, De brings nearly three decades of experience in finance. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and has completed CGMA from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.

He began his career with NHPC in 1998 as a Trainee Officer (Finance) and has since built deep expertise across corporate accounts, taxation, contracts, and financial governance. His experience spans both project sites and corporate operations, including assignments at Rangit (Sikkim), Teesta Low Dam (West Bengal), Siang Basin (Arunachal Pradesh), and rural infrastructure projects in Bihar.

At the corporate level, he played a key role in implementing Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and led initiatives that strengthened financial systems and compliance. Notably, during his tenure overseeing corporate accounts, NHPC’s financial statements received nil comments from the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) for nine consecutive years, reflecting strong financial discipline and governance.
