Solarworld Energy Solutions Wins Rs 725 Crore EPC Order for 250 MW Solar Project from NTPC Renewable Energy
Dec 30, 2025
Solarworld Energy Solutions has secured a major engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract valued at Rs 725.33 crore from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) for the development of a 250 MW (AC) grid-connected solar photovoltaic project.
The company confirmed the receipt of the Letter of Award (LoA) through a regulatory disclosure, stating that the project is expected to be completed during the financial year 2026–27.
This latest order further strengthens Solarworld’s growing portfolio of large-scale renewable energy projects. The company has been actively expanding its footprint across solar generation and energy storage segments over the past year.
In September 2025, Solarworld successfully raised approximately Rs 490 crore through its initial public offering (IPO), providing additional capital to support its expansion plans.
Earlier, in July 2025, the company secured an EPC mandate from NTPC Renewable Energy for a 325 MW solar PV project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Additionally, Solarworld has made notable strides in the energy storage sector. In April 2025, it won 200 MW / 1,000 MWh capacity in Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited’s (GUVNL) standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) auction at a tariff of Rs 2.80 lakh per MWh per month.
The company also emerged successful in January 2025, securing 125 MW / 250 MWh capacity in Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited’s (RVUNL) BESS auction at a tariff of Rs 2.21 lakh per MW per month.
With the new NTPC REL contract, Solarworld Energy Solutions continues to strengthen its position as a key EPC player in India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy landscape.
