Sungrow Crosses 50 GW of PV Inverter Shipments in India

Oct 25, 2025

Sungrow, a global leader in photovoltaic (PV) inverters and energy storage systems, has announced that it has surpassed 50 GW of PV inverter shipments in India — a major milestone in its decade-long journey in the country’s renewable energy sector.

The achievement highlights Sungrow’s strong presence in the Indian solar market and reinforces its long-term commitment to supporting the nation’s clean energy transition. Since entering India in 2014, the company has built a reputation for technological innovation, reliability, and local engagement.

“For Sungrow India, 50 GW is more than a finish line — it’s the launchpad for our next chapter,” said Sunil Badesra, Country Manager of Sungrow India. “Guided by our core value, ‘Bridge to a sustainable future,’ we aim to align with government policies, strengthen cooperation with local partners, create more employment opportunities, and deliver smarter energy solutions for a cleaner India.”

Over the years, Sungrow has developed multi-gigawatt-level partnerships with major Indian power companies, extending its role beyond equipment supply to long-term collaborations focused on innovation, local support, and sustainable growth.

Looking ahead, the company plans to deepen its presence in India and expand globally through continued investment in research and development and the deployment of next-generation clean energy technologies.

Sungrow will also showcase its latest PV and energy storage solutions at the Renewable Energy India Expo 2025, scheduled from October 30 to November 1, 2025, at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida.
