Sunsure Energy Begins Solar Power Supply to Max Healthcare’s Noida Super Speciality Facility

Jan 30, 2026

Sunsure Energy has commenced the supply of renewable electricity to Max Healthcare Institute’s Super Speciality Hospital in Sector 128, Noida, marking the company’s entry into the healthcare power segment. The supply is being provided under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

The solar power is sourced from Sunsure Energy’s 15 MW solar project in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, enabling the hospital to access clean electricity at significantly lower costs. According to the company, the arrangement is expected to deliver energy cost savings of nearly 50 percent compared to conventional grid power, while reducing dependence on fossil fuel-based energy.

Significant Carbon Reduction Impact

The transition to solar energy is projected to help the hospital offset close to 4,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions each year. Over the lifetime of the project, the cumulative emissions reduction is estimated to exceed 1.13 lakh tonnes of CO?, supporting Max Healthcare’s sustainability goals.

Entry into Healthcare Energy Supply

Commenting on the development, Shashank Sharma, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Sunsure Energy, said that healthcare is among India’s most energy-intensive sectors. He noted that while Sunsure has previously served major pharmaceutical manufacturers, this initiative represents the company’s first renewable power supply project for a hospital, underscoring its commitment to enabling clean energy adoption in critical infrastructure.

Strengthening Presence in Uttar Pradesh

The project also aligns with Sunsure Energy’s broader expansion strategy in Uttar Pradesh under its ‘UP Shakti’ initiative. In September 2025, the company commissioned its tenth solar plant in the state, taking its total operational open-access capacity in Uttar Pradesh to over 260 MWp.

Sunsure currently supplies clean power to several industrial consumers in the state, including Dabur, Inox Air Products, Kajaria, Gallant Ispat, APL Apollo, Merino Industries, and Orient Bell. The company plans to scale its operational capacity in Uttar Pradesh to 500 MW by the end of FY 2026, with a combination of solar generation and energy storage solutions.
