Tata Power Partners with Salesforce to Accelerate Digitalisation of Clean Energy Businesses

Tata Power has partnered with Salesforce to accelerate the digital transformation of its clean energy businesses, including rooftop solar, EV charging, and smart energy solutions. The collaboration will deploy AI-enabled digital platforms across Tata Power Renewable Energy to support the company’s expanding green energy ecosystem.
The initiative aims to create a secure, intelligent, and fully integrated clean energy platform powered by artificial intelligence, automation, and data-driven insights.
AI Platforms to Streamline Operations
Under the collaboration, Tata Power has implemented Agentforce Sales, Agentforce Service, and Agentforce Marketing, advanced AI-powered platforms developed by Salesforce. These tools enable intelligent workflows that improve operational visibility, accelerate decision-making, and deliver seamless omnichannel customer experiences.
The digital platform supports end-to-end digitisation of customer and partner journeys, enabling:

Improved inventory visibility
Automated operational processes
Real-time performance tracking
These capabilities are designed to enhance transparency, boost operational efficiency, and provide a more seamless customer experience across Tata Power’s clean energy offerings.
Advanced AI Layer for Quality and Safety
Tata Power has also developed a proprietary deep-learning and agentic intelligence layer on top of the Salesforce platform. This system enables a zero-touch quality and safety validation process, allowing instant on-site verification and automated warranty generation for installations under the company’s rooftop solar brand.
This digital capability strengthens quality assurance and operational reliability for Tata Power’s Solaroof rooftop solar solutions.
Growth Driven by Rooftop Solar Policies
The company reported strong growth in its residential rooftop solar business, driven partly by government policy support under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana.
According to Tata Power, its residential rooftop solar segment has grown by more than 200% over the past two financial years. The company also reported that overall solar revenues increased fivefold between FY2020 and FY2025.

Praveer Sinha said the collaboration would strengthen the company’s ability to scale clean energy solutions across India.
He emphasized that digital capabilities are essential to support the rapid expansion of rooftop solar installations, EV charging infrastructure, and intelligent energy management systems while improving customer engagement and operational efficiency.
Meanwhile, Arundhati Bhattacharya highlighted that the partnership demonstrates how advanced technologies such as AI, automation, and data analytics can accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy ecosystem.
Future Plans
Going forward, Tata Power and Salesforce plan to co-develop advanced AI-driven workflows designed to transform customer and partner contact centre operations. These systems will enable predictive engagement, faster service resolution, and proactive customer support, helping create a future-ready digital clean energy ecosystem.
