Jan 28, 2026
Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, has surpassed 10 GW of executed Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) capacity, marking a major milestone in its renewable energy journey and reinforcing its leadership in India’s clean energy landscape.
The company commissioned 1.88 GW of renewable energy capacity during the first nine months of FY26 (April–December 2025), reflecting a 33% year-on-year growth compared to 1.4 GW commissioned during the same period in FY25. Performance during the third quarter was particularly strong, with 941 MW commissioned in Q3FY26, representing a 139% increase over the 393 MW added in Q3FY25.
TPREL’s cumulative 10 GW EPC portfolio includes 9.7 GW of solar projects and 290 MW of wind capacity. Of this, 4.2 GW comprises in-house renewable energy projects, while 5.8 GW has been executed for third-party clients, highlighting the company’s execution strength across diverse project models.
During the first nine months of FY26, TPREL completed 1,329 MW of solar capacity for third-party customers, along with 546 MW for its own renewable portfolio, including 187 MW of wind projects and 359 MW of solar installations. These projects were delivered across five states, often under demanding terrain and climatic conditions, underscoring the company’s project management capabilities and focus on quality and safety standards.
The third quarter of FY26 marked TPREL’s highest-ever quarterly commissioning, driven by key projects for NHPC, NLC, and SJVNL, including domestic content requirement (DCR)-compliant solar installations in Bikaner, Rajasthan, as well as a 187 MW wind project in Karur, Tamil Nadu.
With this milestone, TPREL continues to play a critical role in accelerating India’s renewable energy deployment, supporting national clean energy targets through large-scale, timely, and efficient project execution.
