TryfactaConnex Partners with UP Government for 1 GW AI Data Hub, Plans USD 7.7 Billion Investment

Feb 21, 2026

TryfactaConnex, an affiliate of US-based Tryfacta, Inc., has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to roll out its India-focused AI infrastructure platform. The announcement, made at the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, outlines an initial investment of approximately USD 7.7 billion to develop a 1 GW hyperscale AI data centre campus.

The proposed campus will anchor a vertically integrated AI ecosystem that merges high-density computing capacity with dedicated power generation. Designed to cater to hyperscalers, sovereign AI programmes, enterprise cloud providers, and advanced research institutions, the facility aims to deliver scalable computing resources backed by long-term energy reliability.

Strategically located with access to grid connectivity, water resources, fibre networks, and natural gas infrastructure, the project is set to adopt a diversified energy portfolio. Plans include a mix of grid supply, gas-based generation, solar power, battery storage systems, and potential nuclear integration. Over time, the platform is expected to expand beyond its initial capacity to reach multi-gigawatt scale.

Adesh Tyagi, Founder and CEO of TryfactaConnex, highlighted the growing strategic importance of AI infrastructure, noting that integrating energy production with compute capabilities ensures dependable baseload supply at scale. He added that India represents a critical market for sustained AI capacity growth.

Sanjeev Rajoura, Executive Vice President of the company, stated that the Uttar Pradesh campus has been conceptualised as a green energy-driven platform, allowing the seamless integration of multiple clean power sources. TryfactaConnex anticipates that the development will bolster domestic cloud infrastructure, AI training capabilities, enterprise computing, and public digital platforms, while positioning India as a globally competitive AI compute destination.
