Nov 15, 2025

Union Power and Housing & Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal engaged with leaders from the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) and senior American industry representatives in New Delhi, reaffirming the global community’s growing trust in India’s economic direction.

In the meeting, the Minister detailed the government’s flagship initiatives, including the country’s clean energy transition, major urban development programmes, the PM-AWAS Yojana, and the expansion of nationwide digital infrastructure. He underscored that advancements in the power, housing, and urban sectors are being powered by innovation, sustained investments, and an inclusive development approach.

Expressing appreciation for the strong participation of USISPF members, he noted that international investors continue to regard India as a key destination for long-term growth and strategic collaborations.

Invoking the ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the belief that the world is one family—Manohar Lal reiterated India’s commitment to shared progress, sustainability, and strengthening global partnerships.

The discussions also covered critical areas such as reducing the cost of green hydrogen, potential cooperation in power transmission, boosting exports of Indian solar modules, scaling investments in energy storage, and ensuring dependable power supplies for the rapidly growing data centre ecosystem in India.

The USISPF delegation comprised John Chambers, Founder & CEO of JC2 Ventures and Chairman of USISPF; Dr. Mukesh Aghi, President & CEO of USISPF; Prabhakar Raghavan, Chief Technologist at Google; Jack P. Williams, Senior Vice-President at Exxon Mobil; and Vikram Kapur, Group President at ReNew.

Both sides acknowledged the deepening India–US partnership in the energy sector, strengthened by decades of cooperation and a shared commitment to sustainable development and energy security.
