Vedanta Aluminium Ranked Among Global Top 10% in S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026

Mar 12, 2026

Vedanta Aluminium has been placed among the top 10 percent of global companies in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2026, achieving a Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) score of 84 out of 100. The recognition marks the company’s first entry into the Top 10 percent category in the global aluminium sector, highlighting its strong performance across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) parameters.

The Sustainability Yearbook is based on the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, a widely recognised benchmarking process that assesses companies on various ESG metrics, including climate strategy, transparency, risk management, and responsible business practices.

During the latest assessment cycle, more than 9,200 companies across 59 industries were evaluated globally. Of these, 848 companies qualified as Yearbook Members, while only a select group demonstrating superior sustainability performance relative to their industry peers earned a place in the Top 10 percent category.

The recognition follows Vedanta Aluminium’s strong standing in the CSA 2025 rankings, where it secured second place globally in the aluminium industry—a position it has maintained for three consecutive years.

Commenting on the achievement, Rajiv Kumar stated that the recognition reflects the company’s commitment to embedding sustainability into its operations while driving responsible growth across the aluminium value chain.

The latest ranking further reinforces Vedanta Aluminium’s focus on sustainable production practices, improved ESG performance, and transparent corporate governance, positioning the company among leading global players advancing sustainability within the metals and mining sector.
