Servotech Wins 1.2 MW Rooftop Solar Project from Northern Railway

Sept 18, 2025

Servotech Renewable Power Systems has bagged an order from Northern Railway’s Moradabad Division to install a 1.229 MW rooftop solar project across residential and service buildings, as well as level crossing gates. The project, valued at Rs57.54 million, was tendered in February and must be completed within 12 months of the award.

The scope covers the design, supply, testing, and commissioning of the systems, using Mono PERC half-cut modules, string inverters with MPPT and remote data logging, and aluminum mounting structures. Post-commissioning, Servotech will provide 10 years of comprehensive annual maintenance, following a one-year warranty.

This win adds to Servotech’s growing railway solar portfolio. Earlier, the company secured a 7.8 MW rooftop solar project from Northeast Frontier Railway’s Rangiya Division in Assam, worth Rs336 million.

Parallelly, Servotech is strengthening its solar manufacturing footprint. In June 2025, it acquired a 27% stake in Rhine Solar, a Delhi-based module maker with a 100 MW capacity, aiming to scale up to 600 MW by 2026. Rhine Solar’s modules, approved under India’s ALMM, include high-capacity 600 W panels. Servotech plans to leverage this investment to focus on advanced N-type TOPCon 12 busbar modules, which offer higher efficiency and global competitiveness.

With these developments, Servotech is positioning itself as a comprehensive solar solutions provider, combining EPC projects, long-term O&M, and advanced module manufacturing.
