ACME Solar Brings 8 MW Wind Capacity Online in Gujarat, Project Output Rises to 52 MW

ACME Solar Holdings Ltd., through its subsidiary ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt. Ltd., has commissioned an additional 8 MW under its 100 MW wind power project in Surendranagar district, Gujarat. This marks the third phase of commissioning for the project.
Officials from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd. (PGVCL) were present during the commissioning, with the formal certification expected in the coming days. Following this addition, the project’s operational capacity has increased to 52 MW, contributing to ACME Solar’s total operational portfolio of 2,942 MW.
The project is financed by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and has been executed using ACME Solar’s in-house engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) capabilities. It deploys 4 MW wind turbine generators from SANY and will supply power under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL).
ACME Solar currently operates 2,942 MW of renewable energy capacity and has an additional 4,578 MW under construction. The company’s development pipeline also includes approximately 15 GWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) installations. Supported by integrated EPC and operations & maintenance (O&M) teams, ACME Solar continues to manage projects end-to-end while maintaining strong capacity utilisation factors and operating margins.
