Bidgely Unveils UtilityAI Pro to Empower Utilities with Deeper Data Intelligence

Oct 27, 2025

Bidgely, a global leader in utility data analytics, has launched UtilityAI Pro, an advanced vertical AI platform developed to help utilities, DISCOMs, and energy providers extract high-value insights from their data with exceptional precision.

Engineered to accelerate digital transformation and operational efficiency, UtilityAI Pro enables utilities to analyse advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), customer, and grid data with up to ten times greater granularity. The platform provides in-depth visibility into appliance-level energy usage, customer behaviour, and grid performance, empowering utilities to make confident, data-driven decisions.

One of UtilityAI Pro’s standout features is its secure data integration capability. It allows organisations to deploy Bidgely’s proprietary machine learning (ML) models directly within their existing cloud environments, removing the need to transfer sensitive infrastructure data outside secure systems.

With over a decade of AI and ML expertise, Bidgely holds 19 patents and processes more than one terabyte of global energy consumption data every day.

“UtilityAI Pro was developed in direct response to what digital transformation and AI leaders were seeking — a way to apply advanced AI while keeping critical infrastructure data secure,” said Abhay Gupta, CEO of Bidgely. “Our patented, utility-focused machine learning models integrate seamlessly into existing data lakes and cloud environments, enabling utilities to scale digital transformation initiatives safely and efficiently.”

The launch coincides with a pivotal period for the global utility industry, as it navigates electrification, affordability challenges, and grid modernisation. According to the IFS Global Utility Survey 2024, while 82% of utility leaders view AI as essential to their digital strategies, only 20% have fully completed their transformation journeys.

“UtilityAI Pro represents a breakthrough in how utilities leverage artificial intelligence,” said Hunter Horgan, Managing Director at Renown Capital Partners and a Bidgely investor. “By embedding behind-the-meter intelligence within existing systems, it strengthens every layer of a utility’s digital infrastructure and maximises returns on current data investments.”

The platform’s applications include predictive grid diagnostics, AI-powered customer engagement, rate design optimisation, distributed energy resource (DER) management, and real-time operational intelligence. It also enables utilities to develop customised AI tools within their own technology ecosystems.

Through UtilityAI Pro, Bidgely aims to redefine how utilities harness and act upon data, bridging the gap between digital vision and practical intelligence to drive the energy sector toward smarter, more resilient operations.
