BillionE Mobility Raises $25 Million to Scale Electric Trucking Operations Across India
Jan 14, 2026
BillionElectric Mobility (BillionE), an e-mobility-as-a-service (eMaaS) platform focused on decarbonising India’s mid-mile and long-haul freight movement, has secured $25 million in growth funding through a combination of equity and debt.
The funding round was supported by a group of ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs) and family offices, along with participation from established financial institutions and public sector lenders, including State Bank of India (SBI).
The capital raise marks BillionE’s shift from pilot deployments to scaled commercial execution in electric freight mobility. The company plans to deploy the funds toward the phased rollout of electric trucks, development of enabling infrastructure, and strengthening operational capabilities to support large fleet deployments.
A key focus of the investment will be the deployment of over 500 electric trucks by FY 2026–27, alongside enhancements to fleet management systems, digital platforms, and ecosystem partnerships. BillionE has also outlined a longer-term pipeline of more than 1,500 electric trucks planned over the next two to three years, aligned with customer demand and secured financing arrangements.
Commenting on the fundraise, Sanjeev Kulkarni, CEO and Co-Founder of BillionE Mobility, said the company is moving beyond experimentation into real-world, execution-driven deployments where scale and economics are critical. He added that the new capital will accelerate fleet expansion, strengthen operations, and deepen collaboration with customers seeking to decarbonise logistics.
Kartikey Hariyani, Founder and Chief Platform Architect of the BillionE Platform, noted that the company is witnessing strong momentum, with year-on-year growth of around 120 percent. He highlighted that electric trucking has achieved total cost of ownership parity with diesel on select routes, particularly in the 19-tonne and 55-tonne segments, improving the commercial viability of large-scale adoption.
The expanded fleet will serve commercial and industrial logistics across sectors such as cement, automotive, third-party logistics (3PL), metals, FMCG, chemicals, e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, and minerals—industries characterised by high utilisation, predictable routes, and rising sustainability commitments.
BillionE is pursuing a pan-India expansion strategy, with deployments planned across major industrial clusters and freight corridors. These routes are being progressively electrified by group company CHARGE ZONE, one of India’s largest EV charging networks, enabling integrated and dependable charging access for commercial electric fleets.
With the scale-up of its electric trucking operations, BillionE Mobility expects to deliver meaningful reductions in tailpipe emissions, supporting lower carbon intensity across India’s freight and industrial logistics ecosystem.
