Borana Weaves Commissions 3.5 MW Rooftop Solar Plant, Enhances Production Capacity
Mar 26, 2026
Surat-based Borana Weaves has commissioned a 3.545 MW rooftop solar power project, marking a key step toward improving energy efficiency and reducing dependence on conventional electricity sources. The initiative is expected to lower operational costs while supporting the company’s broader sustainability goals.
The integration of solar power is anticipated to provide greater stability in energy expenses, helping the company optimise margins and strengthen its cost competitiveness. By increasing its reliance on renewable energy, Borana Weaves aims to enhance long-term operational efficiency while aligning with cleaner production practices.
Alongside the solar installation, the company has also fully operationalised 160 high-speed water jet looms at its Unit 4B facility. This expansion significantly boosts manufacturing capacity, enabling higher output, faster turnaround times, and improved overall productivity.
With these developments, Borana Weaves is reinforcing its integrated manufacturing capabilities, combining advanced machinery with sustainable energy solutions to drive efficiency and support future growth.
