Chargeup & Eleven Launch Rs 50 Crore EV Finance and Health Programme for Last-Mile Drivers
Nov 27, 2025
Chargeup, India’s EV-tech platform for last-mile mobility, has teamed up with Eleven to introduce a Rs50 crore “Green Clean Loans” programme, offering EV finance, insurance, and digital support for 10,000 last-mile drivers. The initiative aims to make EV ownership more affordable while providing essential medical coverage and income protection during emergencies.
Under the partnership, EV loans will be provided through SV Credit Line (SVCL), health and insurance benefits through aiqa Health, and digital onboarding and loan processing via Finncub — all connected through Chargeup’s technology platform. A daily hardship allowance will help drivers manage income loss during hospitalisation.
Varun Goenka, CEO of Chargeup, said the programme ensures drivers can shift to clean mobility without financial or medical vulnerability. Eleven Group’s Karan Chopra noted that combining finance, healthcare, and digital services strengthens livelihood security at the grassroots level.
Chargeup has already supported over 8,000 drivers with EV adoption and facilitated Rs8.64 crore in earlier disbursements. The new programme extends its mission by unifying mobility, inclusive finance, and wellness support in a single framework.
Vikram Solar Commissions 5 GW Automated Vallam Plant, Boosts Total Capacity to 9.5 GW
Vikram Solar has inaugurated its 5 GW module manufacturing facility at Vallam, Tamil Nadu, increasing its total production capacity to 9.5 GW. The Vallam plant spans 27,000 sq. m and integrates TOPCon technology, with future readiness for HJT and M10, G12, and G12R module formats.
The facility features advanced automation, including intelligent robotics, precision material handling, integrated quality checks, and automated packaging — a first in India at this scale. These upgrades aim to enhance manufacturing accuracy, throughput, and reliability while reducing defects and ensuring modules meet Tier-1 global standards.
Designed to serve utility-scale, commercial, industrial, and distributed generation customers, the Vallam plant complements Vikram Solar’s Oragadam facility and upcoming Gangaikondan site, reinforcing the company’s growing manufacturing presence in Tamil Nadu.
“Vallam is a milestone for Vikram Solar and India’s solar manufacturing journey,” said Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman and MD. Modules from Vallam will supply projects across India, supporting the nation’s renewable energy targets. The plant also targets 40–50 percent gender diversity in its workforce, promoting inclusive industrial growth.
