GNA Energy Unveils ‘GNAi’ AI Platform to Drive Data-Led Power Sector Transformation at BES 2026

Mar 23, 2026

GNA Energy has introduced its AI-powered power intelligence platform, ‘GNAi’, at the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 held in New Delhi. The launch highlights the growing role of advanced analytics and digital tools in shaping a smarter and more efficient electricity ecosystem.

The platform is designed as a cloud-based, modular SaaS solution that integrates data from smart meters, grid infrastructure, and weather systems into a unified interface. By leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning, GNAi aims to support forecasting, optimisation, and informed decision-making for utilities, generators, regulators, and market participants.

During the summit at Yashobhoomi, a message from Narendra Modi encouraged global investors to participate in India’s energy growth by investing and innovating in the sector. Pankaj Agarwal conveyed the message, while Manohar Lal Khattar highlighted that India has already met its target of achieving 50% non-fossil fuel capacity ahead of schedule and is expected to attract significant long-term investments.

According to Sanjeev Kumar, the platform combines machine learning models with optimisation engines to deliver key functionalities such as demand and generation forecasting, price prediction, battery dispatch optimisation, and power procurement planning. It also enables emerging applications like peer-to-peer energy trading, demand response, and integration of distributed energy resources.

Built on a microservices-based, API-first architecture, GNAi allows seamless integration with both existing systems and new technologies such as smart meters and electric vehicle ecosystems. The platform aligns with the India Energy Stack initiative under the Ministry of Power, supporting secure and scalable data exchange.

The launch of GNAi follows the company’s earlier rollout of its AI-driven analytics engine, enhancing its broader strategy to build a comprehensive data and intelligence layer for India’s evolving power markets.
