Hero Future Energies Partners with VNEB to Roll Out Rooftop Solar and BESS in Vietnam
Mar 07, 2026
Hero Future Energies (HFE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Viet Nam Electricity Business Joint Stock Company (VNEB) to deploy rooftop solar projects along with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across industrial parks in Vietnam.
The collaboration is aimed at providing dependable, cost-efficient, and sustainable energy solutions for Vietnam’s rapidly growing industrial sector. By combining HFE’s global renewable energy experience with VNEB’s understanding of the local market, the initiative seeks to support cleaner power adoption in industrial facilities across the country.
According to the company, the partnership marks another step in expanding its international renewable energy presence while contributing to Vietnam’s clean energy transition. HFE highlighted that such collaborations help advance its long-term objective of reducing industrial carbon emissions and accelerating the global shift toward sustainable energy.
Earlier, in November 2025, Hero Future Energies signed an MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government to invest Rs 30,000 crore in developing large-scale renewable energy projects in the state.
As per the company’s FY25 Annual Report, HFE currently has an operational capacity of around 2 GWp, with a total portfolio of about 6.5 GWp and energy storage capacity of 2 GWh. The company also maintains a commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable portfolio of nearly 700 MWp across five Indian states, further strengthening its position in the clean energy sector.
