Hero Future Energies Signs MoU to Deploy Rooftop Solar in Vietnam’s Industrial Parks

Mar 11, 2026

Hero Future Energies has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HPUDC and Horus Power to develop rooftop solar projects across factories located in industrial parks owned by Hoa Phat Group in Vietnam.

The collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of clean energy within Vietnam’s industrial sector by installing rooftop solar systems across manufacturing facilities operating in Hoa Phat Group’s industrial parks. According to the company, the initiative will help factories reduce electricity costs, improve sustainability performance, and support the country’s broader energy transition goals.

Under the agreement, the partners will combine international renewable energy expertise with local market capabilities to expand rooftop solar deployment across key industrial clusters. Hero Future Energies stated that the partnership reflects its commitment to decarbonising industrial energy consumption and supporting the global clean energy transition.

The announcement comes shortly after HFE signed another MoU with Viet Nam Electricity Business Joint Stock Company to deploy rooftop solar systems along with battery energy storage solutions across industrial parks in Vietnam.

Earlier, in November 2025, Hero Future Energies also signed an agreement with the government of Andhra Pradesh to invest Rs 30,000 crore in large-scale renewable energy projects in the state.

According to the company’s FY25 annual report, Hero Future Energies currently has an operational renewable capacity of about 2 GWp, with a total project portfolio of around 6.5 GWp and energy storage capacity of approximately 2 GWh. The company also operates about 700 MWp of commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable projects across five Indian states.

Through these initiatives, Hero Future Energies continues to expand its international footprint while supporting the adoption of clean energy solutions in industrial sectors worldwide.
