India's first solar car, the Vayve Eva, has been launched at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, with prices starting at Rs 3.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Available in three variants – Nova, Stela, and Vega – the car comes with a battery subscription plan costing Rs 2 per km, reducing its initial price.
The car features a minimalist exterior with LED headlights, a solar panel on the roof, and a basic interior with two digital displays and three seats. It offers a claimed range of up to 250 km with multiple battery options. The Vayve Eva competes as an affordable electric vehicle alternative.
