Inox Wind has announced plans to invest around Rs 400 crore in establishing a wind-blade and tower manufacturing plant in Koppal district, Karnataka, a move expected to boost local employment and strengthen the state’s renewable energy ecosystem.
According to M.B. Patil, Karnataka’s Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, the project will be developed on 70 acres of land allotted by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) in Kyadiguppa, Kushtagi.
“Met Santosh Khairnar, President – Corporate Strategy, Inox Wind, to discuss a major investment in Karnataka’s renewable energy sector,” Patil shared in a social media post. “Inox Wind will set up a wind-blade manufacturing unit on KIADB land in Koppal district.”
Investment Phases and Local Impact
The investment will be made in two phases:
• An initial Rs 300 crore for the wind-blade manufacturing facility,
• Followed by an additional Rs 100 crore for wind tower fabrication.
Minister Patil emphasized that the state government will provide complete support to ensure smooth implementation. “This project will create hundreds of jobs, promote green manufacturing, and accelerate industrial growth in the Kalyana-Karnataka region,” he added.
Highlighting Karnataka’s consistent appeal to investors, Patil said the state remains a trusted destination for both domestic and international companies due to its skilled workforce, robust infrastructure, and favorable business environment.
