KP Energy Secures 100 MW Wind Project from SECI at Rs 3.67/kWh Tariff
Feb 13, 2026
KP Energy, part of the KP Group, has been awarded a Letter of Award (LoA) by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for the development of a 100 MW inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind power project.
The capacity was secured through SECI’s tariff-based competitive bidding process conducted under Tranche XIX, which aims to allocate 1,200 MW of wind power projects across India. KP Energy emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder for 100 MW, quoting a tariff of Rs3.67 per kWh.
Project Details
The wind project will be developed in Gujarat under the company’s Independent Power Producer (IPP) segment. According to a regulatory filing, KP Energy plans to begin supplying power from the full project capacity within 24 months from the effective date of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
Expanding IPP Portfolio
The company stated that the award marks a key step in strengthening its renewable energy portfolio. Upon execution of the PPA and commissioning of the project, KP Energy’s total IPP capacity is expected to increase to approximately 150 MW.
The development further reinforces the company’s position in India’s competitive wind energy market while contributing to the expansion of ISTS-connected renewable power capacity nationwide.
