MNRE and MyGov Launch Logo Design Contest for National Green Hydrogen Mission

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), in collaboration with MyGov, has announced a Logo Design Contest for the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM). The competition invites citizens across India to design a logo that reflects the mission’s vision of making India the global hub for green hydrogen production, usage, and export.
The contest begins on October 21, 2025, and entries can be submitted until November 5, 2025 (11:45 PM IST) through the MyGov platform.
About the Contest
India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission aims to establish a robust green hydrogen ecosystem, positioning the country as a leader in clean energy innovation and contributing to global decarbonization efforts. The Mission supports India’s long-term vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliance) and aligns with its ambitious climate and clean energy goals.
Through this contest, MNRE seeks a creative and symbolic logo that captures:
- India’s aspiration to become a global hub for green hydrogen production and export,
- The emerging and transformative nature of the sector, and
- Green hydrogen’s role across key industries such as steel, transport, shipping, petrochemicals, and fertilizers.
Logo Design Expectations
Participants should ensure their designs:
- Represent the essence and objectives of the National Green Hydrogen Mission,
- Convey innovation, sustainability, and energy transition, and
- Reflect India’s leadership in clean energy and green technology.
Each entry must also include a brief written explanation describing the concept and how it encapsulates the mission’s vision.
Technical Guidelines
- File format: JPEG, PNG, or PDF only.
- Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI, size 15 cm × 20 cm.
- Fonts must be converted to outlines/curves.
- Logo should be digitally designed, clean, and non-pixelated.
- Entries must not include watermarks or imprints.
- The winning designer must provide the editable source file.
- The logo should be adaptable for social media, websites, and print materials (including black-and-white formats).
Evaluation Criteria
Entries will be evaluated by an internal committee of MNRE, based on:
- Creativity and originality,
- Technical excellence and simplicity,
- Composition and visual impact, and
- Relevance to the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
The committee’s decision will be final and binding, and no further clarifications will be issued. Disqualified entries will not be used or retained by MNRE.
Awards and Recognition
- Winner (1): Rs1,00,000 and a Certificate of Recognition by the Mission Director, NGHM.
- Ten Runners-Up (10): Rs5,000 each.
- The winning designer will also receive round-trip domestic airfare to New Delhi for the award ceremony.
How to Participate
Participants can log in to MyGov.in and upload their logo submission along with a short write-up explaining the concept.
This initiative by MNRE and MyGov aims to encourage public participation in India’s clean energy transformation, inspiring citizens to contribute creatively to the National Green Hydrogen Mission’s visual identity.
