MoU Between CEEW and Bose Institute to Address Air Pollution and Air Quality Management

Feb 10, 2025

In a significant move to tackle air pollution and enhance urban air quality, CEEW (Council on Energy, Environment, and Water) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bose Institute, under the Department of Science and Technology.

This collaboration aims to address critical air pollution issues by conducting assessments on mitigation technologies, evaluating the effectiveness of existing policies, and quantifying the impact of city-level actions on air quality.

The partnership will focus on enhancing the capacity of urban local bodies, enabling them to better address air quality challenges. The joint efforts will expedite research in air quality management, supporting the development of actionable solutions for cities grappling with pollution.

Senior Programme Lead at CEEW, Abhishek Kar, and Director of the Bose Institute, Kaustuv Sanyal, marked the agreement with a commitment to driving forward air quality management initiatives.
