Feb 27, 2026
NTPC Green Energy, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has operationalised the initial 50 MW capacity of its 200 MW Dayapar Wind Energy Project (Phase II) in Gujarat. The project is being executed through its wholly owned arm, NTPC Renewable Energy.
Following this commissioning, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Group has risen to 9,201.08 MW. NTPC stated in a regulatory filing that the overall installed capacity of the NTPC Group now stands at 88,182 MW, with a commercial capacity of 87,102 MW.
The development is part of a series of capacity additions by the group in recent weeks. NTPC Green Energy recently brought 158.4 MW of a 250 MW solar project online in Andhra Pradesh through Ayana Renewable Power. In Gujarat, NTPC Renewable Energy also commissioned 210 MW under the second phase of its 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV project.
Earlier this month, the company added 125 MW to its Bhadla Solar PV Project in Rajasthan, increasing that facility’s operational capacity to 425 MW. It also operationalised 130.47 MW at the Khavda-I Solar Project in Gujarat.
In December 2025, the NTPC Group collectively added around 404.68 MW across Rajasthan and Gujarat. This included approximately 78 MW at the Nokh Solar PV Project in Rajasthan and 326.68 MW under the 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat, commissioned by NTPC Renewable Energy.
