Ola Electric Starts Nationwide Deliveries of Vehicles Powered by Its 4680 Bharat Cell Technology
Dec 08, 2025
Ola Electric has officially begun large-scale deliveries across India of its first vehicles powered by the company’s in-house 4680 Bharat Cell battery technology. The S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh) marks the debut of this indigenous battery pack, offering extended range, improved performance, and enhanced safety features. With this rollout, Ola Electric becomes the first company in India to fully design and manufacture both the battery cells and the complete battery pack internally.
An Ola Electric spokesperson said that customer response to the S1 Pro+ has been overwhelmingly positive. Deliveries are progressing rapidly, and riders are now experiencing India’s first electric scooters powered by the company’s own 4680 Bharat Cell technology. The spokesperson added that this milestone represents a significant step not only for Ola but also for India’s goal of becoming a global hub for electric mobility. With nationwide expansion underway, the company aims to bring this breakthrough battery innovation to customers across the country.
The S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh) is equipped with a 13 kW motor and accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.1 seconds. It offers a range of 320 km (IDC with DIY mode) and includes four riding modes—Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco. Safety has been upgraded with category-first dual ABS and front and rear disc brakes. The model also features improved ergonomics such as a redesigned two-tone seat with supportive foam, body-colored mirrors, a new die-cast aluminum grab handle, rim decals, and an expanded color lineup including Passion Red, Porcelain White, Industrial Silver, Jet Black, Stellar Blue, and Midnight Blue.
Ola Electric’s current lineup includes a broad range of S1 scooters and Roadster X motorcycles. The premium S1 Gen 3 series features the S1 Pro+ in 5.2 kWh and 4 kWh variants, along with the S1 Pro in 4 kWh and 3 kWh options. For the mass market, the company offers the Gen 3 S1 X+ (4 kWh) and the Gen 3 S1 X in 2 kWh, 3 kWh, and 4 kWh configurations. The sports scooter segment is represented by the S1 Pro Sport, available in 5.2 kWh and 4 kWh versions.
