Orient Green Power Awards Rs32.87 Crore Wind Repowering Contract to Suzlon Energy

Orient Green Power Company Limited has entered into a contract with Suzlon Energy Limited for the supply of wind turbines as part of a wind farm repowering initiative at its Devarkulam site in Tamil Nadu, in line with disclosures made under Regulation 30 read with Schedule III of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Under the agreement, Suzlon will supply three Wind Energy Generators (WEGs) of 2.1 MW each, aggregating to a total capacity of 6.3 MW. The turbines will be deployed for repowering an existing wind farm at the Devarkulam location.

The contract has been awarded to a domestic entity and pertains specifically to the supply of wind energy generators. Execution of the contract is scheduled to be completed on or before June 30, 2026.

The total consideration for the contract is Rs 32.87 crore, inclusive of applicable taxes and GST.

Orient Green Power confirmed that the transaction does not fall under related-party transactions, and neither the promoter nor promoter group entities have any interest in Suzlon Energy with respect to this contract.

The company stated that the agreement has been executed on an arm’s length basis, in compliance with applicable SEBI regulations and disclosure norms.
