Oswal Solar Energy Secures Rs39.40 Crore Order for 7.46 MWp Rooftop Solar Projects in Andhra Pradesh

Mar 03, 2026

Oswal Solar Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Oswal Pumps, has won a Rs39.40 crore contract from Swashakthi Energy for the execution of 7.46 MWp of rooftop solar installations in Andhra Pradesh.

According to the company, the order marks its strategic entry into the rooftop solar segment and creates an opportunity to participate in the Government of India’s flagship initiative, PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.

Swashakthi Energy had earlier secured an allocation of 7.46 MWp of grid-connected rooftop solar (RTS) projects from New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Ltd. (NREDCAP) under the Surya Ghar programme. As part of the execution plan, Swashakthi Energy has entrusted Oswal Solar Energy with implementing the projects.

The contract covers the complete design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning of 7.46 MWp of grid-connected rooftop systems, along with a five-year comprehensive maintenance contract (CMC). The installations will benefit 3,729 Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) consumers across the Pulivendula and Puttaparthy divisions under Andhra Pradesh Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL).

Commenting on the development, Vivek Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of Oswal Pumps, stated that the order represents a significant milestone in the company’s renewable energy journey and will help strengthen its foothold in the rooftop solar market. He added that successful execution is expected to deepen market penetration, diversify the company’s portfolio, and unlock larger growth opportunities.

Gupta further noted that the timing aligns with the Union Budget’s enhanced allocation for the PM Surya Ghar scheme, which has been increased from Rs17,000 crore to Rs22,000 crore, providing additional policy support and momentum for rooftop solar adoption across the country.
