OXMIQ Labs Collaborates with AM Intelligence Labs to Build 2 GW Renewable-Powered AI Compute Infrastructure in India
Mar 16, 2026
Under the partnership, OXMIQ Labs will provide architectural and infrastructure advisory support for a large-scale AI computing platform planned to reach 2 GW capacity, beginning with a 1 GW hub in Noida.
OXMIQ Labs, the GPU architecture and AI technology company founded by Raja Koduri, has entered into a technology partnership with AM Intelligence Labs (AMI Labs), a business division of AM Group, to support the development of a 2 GW renewable-powered AI compute platform in India by 2030.
As part of the collaboration, OXMIQ Labs will offer advisory services related to data centre systems and infrastructure for the project. The initiative will begin with the development of a 1 GW AI compute hub in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
AMI Labs operates under AM Group, the parent organisation of Greenko, a renewable energy company with around 50 GW of installed capacity across solar, wind, and hydro power. The group also operates approximately 100 GWh of energy storage and supplies nearly 2 percent of India’s total electricity generation. The renewable power used for the project is expected to be carbon-free and priced significantly lower than conventional data centre electricity.
India is increasingly becoming one of the fastest-growing markets for artificial intelligence usage and digital computing demand. The country’s expanding developer ecosystem, growing digital economy, and rising enterprise adoption of AI are contributing to its role as a key demand centre in the global AI landscape.
AM Group has already initiated work on the flagship AI infrastructure programme, with the first phase of the Noida Compute Hub currently under development. The initial computing capacity is expected to become operational by the end of 2027, marking a major milestone in the group’s plan to establish one of the world’s largest renewable-powered AI computing platforms.
Under the agreement, OXMIQ Labs will act as the architecture and engineering partner for the platform. The company will collaborate with AMI Labs to design the systems architecture, hardware roadmap, and supply chain strategy required for the facility’s development.
OXMIQ Labs brings extensive expertise across the entire computing stack, including GPU architecture, advanced semiconductor packaging, rack-scale computing systems, high-speed interconnect technologies, and orchestration software designed to support large-scale AI workloads.
The Noida AI High Performance Compute Hub is being developed as a vertically integrated platform that combines renewable power generation, advanced data centre infrastructure, high-performance accelerators, software systems, and application frameworks. The facility will also offer flexible consumption models such as AI Pods-as-a-Service and Tokens-as-a-Service.
Through this integrated approach, the platform aims to optimise every stage of the computing ecosystem—from renewable power generation and data centre design to cooling technologies, interconnect systems, and AI workload orchestration—delivering large-scale computing efficiency and reduced AI infrastructure costs.
Commenting on the partnership, Anil Chalamalasetty, Group Chairman of AM Group, said the collaboration will provide AMI Labs with access to deep hardware and systems expertise needed to build globally competitive AI infrastructure.
Raja Koduri, Founder and CEO of OXMIQ Labs, added that the partnership combines OXMIQ’s experience in building advanced computing platforms with AMI Labs’ access to reliable, large-scale carbon-free power, enabling the development of infrastructure designed specifically for the rapidly expanding AI economy.
